Dear Mr.Fields,

Everybody has bad days, some are forgotten, others are looked at, well in this case the incident has been shared online so this bad day will be looked at for a lifetime.

I, stumbled upon your video through social media, one of my acquaintances tagged me in the post, he was disgusted by your actions just like me. I could not imagine what was going through your mind when you decided to discipline that girl as you did. As I think that physical violence is totally unacceptable. I watching you throw that poor little girl to the ground with her desk sickened me.

Well I will never know exactly what happened because I was not present when the incident occurred. But I have been told that you was called upon to help a teacher remove a student from her classroom after the girl was caught with her phone out during class and refused to hand it over then continued to disrupt the class. Even after you arrived and spoke to her she refused to hand u the mobile phone & to step outside. That is when it appears that the girl hit you. After she hit you had a green light to react as you are a police officer you have been trained to deal with these situations. The right way forward was for you to detain her but instead of that you slammed her to the ground with her desk, to make things worse you then dragged the tenth grader out the room by her hair. Those actions can never be justified.

You can always acquaint blame on another person. It is a big step to put your hand up and take responsibility for your actions. After you manhandled this girl you then stepped into the police station & pressed charges on the minor. In some date in October you assaulted a fifteen year old girl & no you didn’t just do that you then went on to ruin her life. How can you be so bitter to send a fifteen year old to jail. Fifteen year old children should not be incarcerated they should be outside getting an education & making new friends whilst building life skills, but because of you this teen will be behind bars gaining muscles & scars.SHAME ON YOU!!

Power in a classroom is a delicate thing never in my life have I seen one of my classmates or peers being assaulted by one of my teachers. Not one of my professors have ever behaved in this manor. there has been so many incidents when students have stepped totally out of line but the older person (the teacher) has always behaved maturely with resulting the incidents with words because of these positive influences my classmates & I know how to result things.’the only way is words’ is what Mr.Baker use to say.

Those who are supporting you hoping for your return proves that you acted the right way. It really proves how bad things have turned into. If minors are fine with seeing there classmates being manhandled, we must ask what caused this. And as a student, I can only say what I have learnt, they have been taught to think that way is right.

P.S you should always think how your actions can influence the younger generation.

Yours faithfully,
Louis Norton
